   this was a fun image to create.  i used photoshop playing with masking and layering to get a final product that has 6 of me in one shot in various poses.  i loved the outcome and was surprised when my professor said it looked "off".  he didn't elaborate so i learned nothing from the comment and i still like the image.  this is another project that surprised me how easy it was to make an image that is fake but looks so real. 

  "tell me more, tell me more!"  i can't look at this image without hearing that :)   this image was created using photoshop.  i know it is hard to tell because i did such a great job, but i took an existing photo and added myself to the scene. it's actually kind of scary how easily this can be done, you can't even trust your eyes anymore. 

in this project, i was tasked with taking a photo from color to black and white and then recoloring it using masking tools in photoshop.  i really did not enjoy this one.  the process was cumbersome and tedious, and the technology didn't work that well. i was not happy with the outcome.  i tried, but in the end, it just looks creepy.  

 one of my favorites.  in this project, i was tasked with making a poster about me and ideally something impactful.  i chose the word unapologetic to represent myself as well as advocate for other women.  this was created using photoshop with an original photo of myself.  i used various techniques to get to the final product and absolutely love it! 

  in this piece, i was tasked with creating an image using the calligram style. calligram is using  a word or piece of text in which the design and layout of the letters create a visual image related to the meaning of the words themselves. to start this project i had to write a letter to myself 20 years from now.  after writing the letter, i picked words from that letter to create this final product.  i thought this was a really cool concept and i know i will enjoy looking back at this and remembering the letter to myself.  i think i could have done a little better on this one.  looking back, i would have blocked out more sections with color to add more dimension to the piece overall.  my mom loved this one!

this project is a continuation of the project prior where i was creating a personal logo.  i was tasked with using the logo i created to design business cards using illustrator.  the assignment tasked us with creating one black and one white option.  ultimately, i felt the black looked better and also fit the soulful and dreamer concept better.   this project was more fun than the prior project, primarily because i did not have to do tedious busy work to get to the final outcome.  i  am happy with the final product and can see my personal brand developing. 

  producing personal logos using illustrator.  this project was a process.  in order to land on something, first i had to identify 5 words that describe me, then draw 5 pictures for each word, and create a vision board. Once i had the 25 pictures i had to choose what I liked best. in the end, i picked 2 images, 1 for me and 1 for my professor.  i didn't enjoy this process, the initial steps felt like busywork that ultimately did not help me.  i did like creating a logo however and the idea of building a personal brand for myself.
